Cleaning for Land!

Some of the Providencia cleaning team

The Jubilee Church continues to move forward on the land purchase project for a future building. Through donations from members of Jubilee and from sister congregations in the United States, the church has bought 1167 of the 2000 meters the church will be purchasing. Though we are very excited, we still need more funds to purchase the remaining 833 meters. We have asked our cell pastors to talk with their small groups about fundraising projects that each cell could do to expand the church’s participation in the gathering of funds. The … [Read more...]

New Believers!

armando2

On Sunday, March 27th, the Jubilee plant held a special baptism celebration where ten people gave their lives to Christ! A sister church in the city shared their facility with us, and we ate, sang, and celebrated together. Please pray for Armando, Maru, Damaris, Leonor, Kevin, Anahí, Yosemir, Sarahí, Marifer, and Fidel. Ask that their new faith would be deeply rooted and would grow. And join us in praising God for their new life! … [Read more...]

Security in Mexico

Mexico_in_globe.svg

Over the last few months, our team has received several inquiries about our safety in Mexico. We wanted to assure you that at this point, the metropolitan area of Pachuca has not experienced the disturbing violence that has been seen in northern Mexico and along the Pacific coast. We continue to move freely in Pachuca, and we take the normal precautions that are wise when living in any large city. In response to that violence in the northern areas of Mexico, the IMPACTO Latino team has decided that we will no longer travel to the United … [Read more...]

Jubilee’s 4th Anniversary

4th Anniversary

Last Sunday was a wonderfully encouraging day! More than 200 were in attendance as the Jubilee church celebrated its fourth anniversary with an exciting worship service and a fun fellowship dinner. The music team did an excellent job leading the congregation in worship and all of our leaders worked together to make the day a great blessing. It was especially exciting to see how many in the congregation had invited friends and family. Jubilee's Cell Pastors are following-up on those contacts. Our leadership team left the church on Sunday … [Read more...]

Escape From Hate

andrea smile

She was someone that made you feel that darkness surrounded her.  Andrea oozed hate!  And that hate often led to violence for which she was known. Andrea had reason for hate.  She can remember being sexually abused as early as 7 years old.  The hate and resentment that grew from those early years affected her life as she moved between men and raised her children. That hate and violence extended to even looking for someone to kill her son-in-law who had abandoned her daughter with four young boys. Andrea suffered; she was bitter and … [Read more...]
