SHORT-TERM MISSION PROJECTS 2010

Curtains in the church building

• What it is: easier-to-clean, better-light-blocking, better-looking curtains for the upstairs
• Expertise needed: sewing, installation
• Approximate budget: $700

Cabinetry for the church office

• What it is: wall-mounted closing cabinets so that the office space can double as a classroom
• Expertise needed: carpentry, installation
• Approximate budget: $3000

Sound board and wiring

• What it is: replace sound board and amplifier with 15+ channel system
• Expertise needed: electric, knowledge of sound systems
• Approximate budget: $2000

VBS

• What it is: 4-6 day neighborhood Vacation Bible School in Spanish or English
• Expertise needed: teaching kids ages 3-12
• Approximate budget: varies, $1000

Remodeling downstairs

• What it is: remodel of downstairs to create open youth center
• Expertise needed: demolition, dry wall, flooring, doors, lighting
• Approximate budget: $4000+

Painting church building

• What it is: interior and exterior painting
• Expertise needed: painting
• Approximate budget: $2000

Community evangelism project

• What it is: concert, food drive, or other neighborhood oriented project aimed at evangelism
• Expertise needed: able hands
• Approximate budget: varies, ~$2000-$4000

Community health evangelism

• What it is: 3-5 day on-sight clinic and nutrition/hygiene workshops in low-income area
• Expertise needed: Dentistry, family medicine, optometry, as well as medical equipment
• Approximate Budget: varies, ~$1000+

 
 
When scheduling short-term trips, preference is given to supporting churches and individuals.
